I’m Samantha Perks, an experienced paraplanner with over 10 years experience in financial services. Earlier in my career I trained as an independent financial adviser and had responsibility for my own paraplanning duties as well as that of the managing director at the firm where I was employed.
I eventually decided to specialise in paraplanning duties, but I have found that my experience as a financial adviser means I am well placed to understand and support the needs of other financial advisers.
I have a Diploma in Financial Planning and have passed the Mortgage and Equity Release exams as well.
I thoroughly enjoy working as a paraplanner and pride myself on providing a high quality of service to the financial advisers I work with. I have a meticulous eye for detail and always ensure that I never hand over any work that doesn’t meet my own exacting standards.
My decision to work as an outsourced paraplanner has come about following the arrival of my second son – I didn’t want to give up a job I enjoyed so much but also didn’t want to work solely to pay for child care. Starting my own company and offering freelance services allows me to tailor my workload and environment to my family’s needs whilst ensuring I can be flexible for my clients. If a report is needed over a weekend for an urgent client meeting I’ll always do my best to accommodate the request.
I put my name in the company title, as this company is personal to me. It matters. It is, and always will be a family run business. I want to grow my company by building relationships with local advisers, I want to know the people I’m working with and I want those working with me to be able to trust me. As the sole paraplanner I can ensure a consistent approach to every report, and can be confident that the work you receive will be of the highest quality.
To ensure that you always receive the service you require within the agreed timescales, without ever having to compromise on quality, I will only ever work with a select number of clients at any time as I know your business is as important to you, as mine is to me.
